Why we created STOP-in-4
The STOP-in-4 Toolkit was created from a simple belief: when unnecessary work is removed, people have more time, capacity and focus for what really matters.
Between us, we have over 50 years of experience working in complex organisations and systems, leading and supporting large-scale improvement and change initiatives.
Throughout our careers, we have seen first-hand how easily activities can become embedded in the way organisations work — even when their original purpose is no longer clear, their value has reduced, or they are no longer the best use of people's time and resources.
We believe there is a huge opportunity to reduce, and where appropriate remove, no-value and low-value work.
That's why we developed the STOP-in-4 Toolkit: a structured, practical and evidence-based approach that empowers leaders and teams to recognise waste, question established ways of working, and confidently stop activities that no longer add enough value.
We believe stopping work shouldn't be about simply doing less. It's about creating the space, capacity and focus to do more of what matters.
STOP-in-4 helps people stop the right things, so they can focus on the things that matter most.
